Why a completed lesson hasn’t been charged — coaches

Check payment eligibility and get help without creating a duplicate charge.

Marking a lesson completed can start a payment attempt for an eligible paid booking. It doesn’t guarantee that a charge succeeds or that every historical lesson record can be charged.

Check what was completed

  1. Open the scheduled booking or linked lesson request in BirdieYard Coach OS, your coaching workspace.

  2. Confirm the student, lesson offering, date, and completed status.

  3. Distinguish that booking from a manually added lesson log. A coaching note or log isn’t a payment action.

  4. Contact support if the expected payment is missing or its status is unclear.

Why a charge may not occur

A charge can’t proceed normally when required payment information is missing, such as a valid paid offering, linked payer, or saved payment method. The card may also fail when BirdieYard attempts the payment.

An incomplete coach Stripe connection is a different issue: a successful charge may still need its coach transfer resolved after setup is completed. Don’t assume every missing bank payout means the golfer hasn’t paid.

What to do next

Send support the booking details and explain what you expected. Don’t create a duplicate booking, repeatedly change attendance status, or ask the golfer to pay a second way without first clarifying the existing payment.

Replacing the golfer’s card doesn’t automatically recover an earlier failed charge. Support needs to review the payment situation. Fin can explain these checks but can’t independently retry a charge or transfer proceeds.

If you still need help, open BirdieYard chat and ask for a person. If chat isn’t available, email [email protected].
