For a normally completed paid lesson, BirdieYard charges your saved card after the coach records the lesson as completed. Saving a card or sending a lesson request isn’t itself the lesson charge.
What happens at each step?
Card setup: you save a payment method through Stripe.
Lesson request: you send the coach your request and review the displayed total.
Confirmation: you complete any required booking confirmation. A saved card alone doesn’t confirm the lesson.
Completion: the coach records the lesson as completed, and an eligible booking’s payment is attempted.
The lesson total includes the lesson price and the separate BirdieYard service fee shown during the request flow. Don’t assume the price on a coach’s profile is the entire card charge.
If something looks wrong
If you see an unexpected charge, believe the lesson was marked completed incorrectly, or think you’ve paid twice, contact support with the coach, lesson date, amount, and the last four digits of the card if needed.
Don’t send your full card number, security code, or banking password in chat or email.
Cancellations and no-shows
Ask support to review any cancellation or no-show payment question against the terms applicable to your booking. A canceled or no-show status alone doesn’t tell you whether money was charged or refunded.
If you still need help, open BirdieYard chat and ask for a person. If chat isn’t available, email [email protected].
