A published profile, an approved lesson-request status, a listed credential, and a badge mean different things. None should be read as a universal guarantee about a coach.
What each signal tells you
Published profile: the coach has a public page.
Discovery or request approval: a separate platform state governing visibility or lesson requests.
Listed credential: information about a qualification or professional background. A listing alone doesn’t mean BirdieYard verified it.
Specific verification: a check of the particular credential or fact described.
Badge: recognition of the activity or evidence identified by that badge.
Read the label and explanation on the current profile. Don’t assume a badge means the coach is background checked, insured, or suitable for every golfer unless that specific check is explicitly stated.
Before choosing a coach
Review the coach’s experience, lesson format, teaching location, and fit for your needs. Ask the coach about any qualification or practical arrangement that matters to you.
BirdieYard doesn’t automatically background check every coach, and a profile review doesn’t guarantee safety or a particular coaching outcome. See the Terms of Service for the scope of these signals.
Report incorrect information
Send support the profile link, the specific claim or badge, and why you believe it may be inaccurate. A person can review the issue; Fin can’t independently verify a credential or award a badge.
