Choose a coach who fits your goals

Compare coaching approach, lesson details, and practical requirements.

Choose a coach whose experience, teaching approach, and lesson options fit what you want to improve. A clear profile can help you narrow your choice before sending a request.

What to compare

  • Your goals: look for relevant specialties and experience with golfers at your stage.

  • Teaching approach: read the coach’s introduction and coaching philosophy.

  • Lesson details: compare duration, format, price, and any stated requirements.

  • Location: check where the coach teaches and whether you can travel there.

  • Credentials and recommendations: read what each signal actually says rather than assuming every profile has the same checks.

You don’t need a handicap or a perfectly defined goal to start. Useful context could be that you’re new to golf, want more consistent contact, or need help with a particular part of your game.

Ask about anything unclear

Use your lesson request to explain your goal and ask practical questions, such as whether equipment is available or whether a lesson suits a junior golfer. Don’t assume those arrangements are included unless the coach confirms them.

A published profile or badge isn’t a guarantee of a particular result. Your request also isn’t a confirmed booking until BirdieYard shows the lesson as confirmed or scheduled.

If you still need help, open BirdieYard chat and ask for a person. If chat isn’t available, email [email protected].
